U.S. TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY GRANT SUPPORTS INTRODUCTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY AT ROMANIA'S LARGEST POWER GENERATOR

The U.S. Trade & Development Agency issued the following press release: Strengthening the environmental monitoring and control capability of SC Termoelectrica SA, the largest power generation enterprise in Romania, is the goal of a U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) grant awarded today. The $271,054 grant will help Termoelectrica to prepare for Romania's accession to the European Union (EU) by funding a feasibility study to determine the best method for upgrading emissions monitoring and control systems at 21 of the company's largest power plants.
