Article: AIR AMBULANCE LICENSING IN COLORADO BEGINS FEB. 1

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued the following news release:

Effective February 1, 2006, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Emergency Medical and Trauma Services Section will begin the process of licensing air ambulance services that transport patients from or within the State of Colorado.

These new licensing requirements mark the culmination of a five-year process that involved numerous stakeholders in the air ambulance community, emergency medical service organizations and Department of Public Health and Environment staff members in the development of the involved regulations and procedures.
