Article: USDA DESIGNATES MADISON COUNTY, NEW YORK AS NATURAL DISASTER AREAS

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency has issued the following press release:

In the Farm Service Agency's Release No. 1406.06, issued on Jan. 18, 2006, the release did not include Madison County as a primary disaster area.

In New York, Madison County was designated as a primary natural disaster area due to losses caused by frost that occurred from May 12, 2005, through May 13, 2005.

Also eligible because they are contiguous and have sustained production losses due to the same disaster conditions are Chenango, Cortland, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego and Otsego Counties.
