Article: SEN. ALLARD URGES COLLEAGUES TO CONFIRM JUDGE ALITO TO SUPREME COURT

The office of Sen. Wayne Allard, R-Colo., issued the following press release:

Sen. Wayne Allard (R-Colorado) in a speech in the U.S. Senate Wednesday urged his Senate colleagues to confirm President Bush's nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the U.S. Supreme Court.

"Judge Alito has the experience, intellect, temperament, and integrity required of a Supreme Court justice. He has more judicial experience than any Supreme Court nominee in 70 years. In his 15 years on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Judge Alito participated in over 1,500 cases and authored more than 350 opinions," Senator Allard said.
