Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Wash. (7th CD), issued the following press release:
Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA), today challenged Rep. Mike Doyle to a friendly wager on the outcome of the Super Bowl XL matching the Seattle Seahawks against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rep. McDermott's 7th congressional district encompasses the City of Seattle and Rep. Doyle's district includes the City of Pittsburgh.
"I've heard of the vaunted Steel Curtain in Pittsburgh," McDermott said, "but curtains are meant to be opened, and the Seahawks will open- and shred- the Steel Curtain on February 5, in Detroit."
