Article: ALBEMARLE COUNTY RANKS THIRD IN VIRGINIA FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS GRADUATING WITH ADVANCED STUDIES DIPLOMAS

The State of Virginia's Albemarle School District issued the following news release:

Students in Albemarle County know the great value of a high school diploma. Students here are setting their academic goals beyond the Commonwealth of Virginia's high school Standard Diploma. Albemarle County ranked third among all school divisions in Virginia in the percentage of high school graduates earning an Advanced Studies Diploma in 2005.

Sixty-five percent of high school graduates in the Albemarle County Class of 2005 surpassed Standard Diplomas and met a higher level of requirements to earn Advanced Studies Diplomas. Albemarle County ranks behind only Poquoson City Public Schools (69 percent) and ...
