Article: REP. GRIJALVA NAMED 'HUMANE ADVOCATE' BY HUMANE SOCIETY OF UNITED STATES

Rep. Raul M. Grijalva, D-Ariz. (7th CD), issued the following press release:

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) released its Humane Scorecard for 2005. Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva was given a perfect score of 100% in part to for his advocacy on animal welfare issues considered by Congress in 2005.

"I thank the Humane Society of the United States for this honor," said Grijalva. "As a member of the Congressional Friends of Animals Caucus, I am a strong advocate of measures to promote the increased humane treatment of animals.
