Article: BOULDER FIRE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES NEW DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF

The city of Boulder issued the following news release:

The Boulder Fire Department has promoted Dave Cain to the position of Deputy Fire Chief for operations, effective Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Chief Cain has worked for the Boulder Fire Department since 1978 and has promoted through the ranks of the department. Most recently he was the training division chief. Chief Cain has experience in hazardous materials and is a medic for Boulder Police Department's SWAT team. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and education from the University of Wisconsin. Chief Cain was a paramedic before coming to work at the fire department.
