GUWAHATI, Feb 5 -- Traditional Assamese musical instruments are getting a very good response from the visitors at the Regional SARAS 2006 at Juripar (near the Panchayat and Rural Development Office). The event, being participated by Self-Help Groups (SHGs) from 11 States, will conclude tomorrow. Mahabahu Brahmaputra, an SHG of Golaghat, is selling a wide range of traditional musical instruments like <i>tokari, dotora, domra, pepa, gogona, </i>etc. "We have been dealing in musical instruments since 1992, for which there is a good demand," Amal Chandra Bora of the SHG told this correspondent, adding that in the SARAS also, he had been able to sell quite a few of the instruments. ...
