NEW DELHI, India, Feb 4 -- THAT FAULTY internal wiring is a problem in many Delhi households and was a cause of inflated bills has once again been revealed following the report of the independent meter-testing drive conducted by the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC). Of the total meters tested, faulty internal wiring was found in 18 per cent cases.

The three-month drive started by DERC in October 2005 was completed recently on January 10. And this is what was found.
