Lucknow, Feb 6 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has strongly criticised veteran actor and MP Raj Babbar for making disparaging remarks against party general secretary Amar Singh.
Coming out strongly in defence of Amar Singh, Yadav told a gathering in Mainpuri, about 250 km from here, Sunday: "Before questioning a senior party leader's credentials, Raj Babbar should first tell us what his own contribution to the party has been."
Amar Singh, who was recently in the throes of a controversy and spat with the Congress over phone-tapping, has been caught in a fusillade of criticism from Babbar, who is a second-term party MP from Agra.
