NACAS PRESENTS ACCOUNTING STANDARDS TO COMPANY AFFAIRS MINISTER

NEW DELHI, India, Feb. 7 -- The Government of India's Ministry of Company Affairs issued the following press release:

Shri Y.H. Malegam, Chairman, National Advisory Committee on Accounting Standards (NACAS) presented its recommendations on Accounting Standards to the Minister of Company Affairs Shri Prem Chand Gupta, here today. NACAS is a statutory committee set up under section 210-A of the Companies Act, 1956 to advise the Central Government on the formulation and laying down of accounting policies and accounting standards for adoption by companies.
