The California State Senate Democratic Caucus issued the following press release:
State Sen. Wesley Chesbro (D-Arcata) has introduced legislation authorizing the sale of 850 acres of State land to Napa County. Assembly member Noreen Evans (D-Santa Rosa) is principal co-author of the measure.
SB 1226 specifically authorizes the sale of Skyline Park to Napa County. The land has been leased to Napa County and operated as a public park and natural area by the Skyline Park Citizens Association since 1979. The park includes more than 12 miles of hiking, riding and bicycling trails, a native plant garden, horse arena, archery range and a disc golf course.
