OHIO EPA ISSUES DRAFT STORM WATER PERMIT FOR ACTIVITY WITHIN BIG DARBY WATERSHED

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency issued the following news release:

Ohio EPA is seeking comments on a draft permit that would regulate storm water discharges throughout the Big Darby Creek watershed more stringently. The proposal would help protect this high quality watershed from future effects of development. The watershed includes parts of Champaign, Clark, Franklin, Logan, Madison, Pickaway and Union counties.

The permit would apply to storm water discharges from construction activity disturbing one acre or more. Known as a general permit, because it applies to a certain category of discharges rather than a specific project, the conditions and requirements are determined up ...
