Article: ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION ADOPTS RESOLUTION REMOVING BARBOUR COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM FROM STATE FINANCIAL INTERVENTION

The Alabama Department of Education's Board of Education adopted the following resolution:

Resolution:

WHEREAS, under provisions of Section 16-6B-4, Code of Alabama 1975, the Alabama State Board of Education voted in October 1999 to authorize the Alabama State Department of Education to financially intervene in the Barbour County School System; and

WHEREAS, financial intervention has created a sound and accurate accounting system for the receipt and expenditure of public funds allocated to the Barbour County School System; and
