Profiles of Lorraine Lapointe and Kathryn MacDonald Despite significant contributions of capital, labour and management skills, farm women are largely absent from decision- and policy-making boards and commissions and commodity agencies. They continue to organize separately, in part because they are excluded from mainstream agricultural institutions, in part because they are producing positive results through independent organizations, as the Canadian and Ontario Farm Women's Networks attest.
