Maricopa County issued the following press release:
The Maricopa County Air Quality Department (MCAQD) is proposing a number of changes to Rule 280 (Fees); however, the department is not proposing to revise any of the existing fees. Proposed changes include:
* Addition of rule language to inform permittees of the control officer's authority to deny a permit, a permit revision, or a permit renewal for failure to pay permit processing fees.
* Removal of the $40,000 maximum fee for processing Title V permit applications and addition of a provision that allows for an informal review of permit processing hours.
* Establishment of an emissions inventory reporting hierarchy.
