U.S. TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY GRANT SUPPORTS PORT DEVELOPMENT, EXPANSION IN NAMIBIA

The U.S. Trade & Development Agency issued the following press release:

Increasing Namibia's trade capacity in support of the economic development goals of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) is the objective of a U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) grant awarded today to the Namibian Ports Authority (NAMPORT). The $400,000 grant will be used to fund technical assistance associated with NAMPORT's efforts to improve efficiency, security, and petroleum receiving capabilities at the Namibian ports at Walvis Bay and Luderitz.
