PEO IWS HOSTS OPEN ARCHITECTURE INDUSTRY DAY

The Navy's Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) Future Combat Systems Open Architecture Program Office sponsored an Industry Day here Feb. 14.

The event was held to discuss implementation of the Navy's open architecture programs with industry partners.

"The Navy has a shipbuilding plan in place, and we need to develop combat systems that are capable and affordable to support it. The open architecture enterprise initiative will allow the Navy to rapidly upgrade systems as new technologies develop and do so at an affordable cost," said Capt.
