Dedicated contract carrier Ruan Transport Corp. said it completed the purchase of dairy tank carrier Kings County Truck Lines Inc., Tulare, Calif.

John Ruan III, chairman of the privately held liquid bulk carrier of edible oils, liquid eggs and other food-grade products in Des Moines, Iowa, told TRANSPORT TOPICS he intends to expand into bulk milk hauling nationwide, using the systems and procedures Kings County has developed.

Ruan did not disclose financial terms of the deal, which originated in October.
