Article: DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY'S RETIRED ENGINEER TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM COMPLETES 1,000TH POLLUTION PREVENTION ASSESSMENT

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality issued the following news release:

Since 1994, the Retired Engineer Technical Assistance Program (RETAP) has assisted businesses across Michigan with pollution prevention through free on-site assessments.

The program recently completed its 1,000th on-site pollution prevention assessment, a milestone recognized as a key component in the Department of Environmental Quality's efforts to reduce the amount of environmental waste generated in the state, and an example of how technical assistance focused on pollution prevention is compatible with economic growth in Michigan.
