London, Feb. 24 -- Empire magazine has named actor Kevin Bacon as the most underrated star of Hollywood.
According to the magazine, the actor has never been critically appreciated because he will always be remembered for being the one getting a spanking in 1980's flick Animal House.
However, the editors of the publication tend to differ, as they think Bacon is better than that. "Kevin Bacon's elevation has been slow but relentless, characterised by daring choices and few failures," The Sun quoted Empire, which has picked its Top 10 list of those actors who are adored by fans, but ignored by critics, as saying.
