MUMBAI, India, Feb. 21 -- UTI Mutual Fund issued the following press release:

UTI Mutual Fund announces the launch of a new scheme "UTI-Contra Fund" on February 22, 2006. The New Fund Offer opens on February 22, 2006 and closes on March 22, 2006. The scheme will re-open for continuous purchase and redemption from April 20, 2006 onwards.

UTI-Contra Fund is an open-ended equity oriented scheme. The scheme aims to provide long term capital appreciation/dividend distribution through investments in listed equities and equity-related instruments.
