Article: Husky's White Rose is Blooming

After spending approximately $2 bilion, Husky Energy Inc. began pumpng oil on November 12 from the White Rose field in the Jeanne d'Arc Basin, approximately 350 kilometres east of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. "We are pleased that the first oil production has been achieved on schedule and on budget," says Husky President and CEO John Lau. There are an estimated 250 million barrels of recoverable oil at White Rose.
