Gov. Ernie Fletcher, R-Ky., issued the following press release:
Gov. Ernie Fletcher and the Governor's Office for Local Development (GOLD) today announced 57 communities have received funding from the 2006 Community Economic Growth Grant (CEGG) fund. Established during the 2005 General Assembly as House Bill 267, the fund provides nearly $10 million in grants to be allocated during the 2005-2006 biennium.
"The grant fund is an excellent opportunity for all of Kentucky's counties to maximize economic gain locally and creatively," said Governor Ernie Fletcher. "The infusion of these funds will result in over $99 million in successful projects across the commonwealth."
