NEW DELHI, India, March 5 -- CUTTING ACROSS party lines, Members of Parliament from different political parties here on Sunday decided to put up a 'call attention' motion on the issue of Ganga pollution in Parliament. Interacting with mediapersons at Tulsi Ghat in Varanasi, MP of Samajwadi Party, Mohan Singh, MP of BJP, Balbir Punj, MP of Congress, Tariq Anwar, nominated MP, Chandan Mitra and MP of Congress, Dr Thokchom Meniya expressed their concern over rising pollution in the holy river Ganga.
The MPs were here to participate in a seminar on Ganga in Varanasi organised under the joint auspices of South Asia Foundation of New Delhi, Society for Voluntary Action, Revitalization and Justice ...
