Sailors of USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) celebrated African American Heritage Month Feb. 24 in hangar bay two by performing songs, poems, and various speeches about African Americans who made an impact on America.
African American Heritage Day is celebrated to honor African Americans who fought for their freedom and changed their country.
