Article: HOUSE ENERGY AND COMMERCE COMMITTEE ACTS TO PROTECT CONSUMER PHONE RECORDS

The House Energy and Commerce Committee acted today to protect the personal phone records by unanimously passing the Prevention of Fraudulent Access to Phone Records Act. The bill will prevent outsiders from lying to obtain phone records and establishes fines for telephone companies who do not adequately protect individual's records.
