Fidelity Investments reported yet another management shuffle Tuesday with the unexpected resignation of Ellyn A. McColgan, a long-time employee who was considered a strong contender to one day take over the financial services giant. McColgan's departure as head of Fidelity's mutual fund distribution and operations comes just four months after she was promoted to the high profile position. Previously, she had run Fidelity's fast growing, $1 trillion brokerage division, among other management posts. She had been with the company since 1990.
