Pizza Magia, a Louisville-based chain of about 40 pizza restaurants, has reached an agreement with Colavita Pasta & Olive Oil Corp. of Linden, N.J., to develop a garlic-seasoned dipping sauce that will accompany pizzas sold at Pizza Magia restaurants. The sauce is made from a blend of extra-virgin olive oil, canola oil, salt, garlic and various Italian spices. Pizza Magia previously served pizza that came with a garlic-flavored sauce made from partially-hydrogenated soybean oil and artificial garlic and butter flavorings, according to Scott Sager, vice president of marketing and franchise sales, said the company decided to seek a healthier alternative made with natural ingredients.
