Pizza Hut Restaurants closed two of its oldest fast-food outlets in the first half of this year, leaving many wondering whether its parent company, Theo H. Davies Food Service Group, was downsizing operations in the Hawaii chain. The January and May closings of the Wahiawa and University Avenue Pizza Hut outlets, respectively, may be the result of cut-throat competition in the restaurant industry.
