The West Hawaii Domestic Abuse Shelter will benefit from a fashion show and silent auction fund-raiser next month at the Big Island's Fairmont Orchid resort. Radio personality Karen Kay will introduce designs by Avon, Big Island Swimwear, Carol Lorraine Designs, Hilo Hattie, Island Salsa, Island Sunsations, Jourabchi and Paradise Found, and wigs by Aah, Affordable Wigs-hats, modeled by local celebrities on behalf of the shelter, an undisclosed residence on the Kona side of the Big Island that provides safe haven for about 100 women and 100 children a year.
