4 Suspects in '94 Massacres of Rwanda Tutsi Are Held in London to Face Extradition - New York Times

LONDON, Dec. 30 In a rare case evoking genocide in a distant land, four men accused of plotting or participating in the 1994 massacres of Rwandas Tutsi minority appeared in a London court on Friday after their arrests overnight to face extradition proceedings.The men were ordered to be held in prison until a court appearance in late January. They were arrested under an unusual and previously secret memorandum of understanding between Britain and Rwanda that was supposed to prevent them from being executed if found guilty of crimes in their own country.
