SEATTLE - As political opposition appeared to dim the prospects of a mail-in Democratic presidential primary in Florida, electionofficials in states with experience in mail-in voting suggested that it might be just as well.The Florida Democratic Party would face major logistical challenges if the plan went forward. "To try to put together your first vote-by-mail election in four to six weeks without established policies and infrastructure would be a daunting undertaking," said Nick Handy, director of elections for Washington.
