Correction Appended Mara Manus, who led the Public Theater out of the red and through nearly six years of steady financial growth, has decided to step down as the organization's executive director. "I'm a builder, and I came in to right the ship," Ms. Manus said on Thursday in an interview. "I feel like this is the right moment."
