Steve Pearce broke up a scoreless game with a run-scoring double in the 12th inning, and six Pittsburgh Pirates pitchers held down the host Philadelphia Phillies in a 2-0 victory Friday night. The Phillies were shut out for the second straight day and watched their lead in the National League East shrink to a game over the Mets, who beat the Florida Marlins, 3-0.
