Middle Tennessee Upsets No. 8 Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. - Chrissy Givens scored 25 points and Amber Holt had 21 to lead Middle Tennessee past No. 8 Georgia 70-62 Thursday night. The Blue Raiders (6-3) forced Georgia (7-1) into 22 turnovers in beating the Lady Bulldogs for the first time in 12 tries.

It was Middle Tennessee's first win in three games against Top 10 teams this year, including an 88-64 loss to Tennessee last week and an 80-76 loss to No. 1 Maryland in the season opener.

Cori Chambers led Georgia with 23 points, and Angel Robinson came off the bench to score 10.

Chambers hit a 3-point basket 28 seconds into the half to put Georgia ahead 34-33, but it was the last time Georgia led.
