Article: U.K. Attorney General Denies Cover-Up

LONDON - Britain's attorney general on Friday denied a newspaper's claim that he ordered officials to withhold information from an international watchdog regarding a massive British arms deal with Saudi Arabia.

The Guardian newspaper, citing unidentified sources, said that Lord Goldsmith ordered officials to conceal the existence of payments totaling more than $2 billion to a Saudi prince. The report said the information was withheld from investigators from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
