Massachusetts Horticultural Society Hiked Spending as Budget Wouldn't Balance.

Aug. 17--Even as it struggled to balance its operating budget, the Massachusetts Horticultural Society hiked spending by more than a half-million dollars over three years on legal fees, travel, and subsidies to attract exhibitors to the spring New England Flower Show, according to the organization's financial filings.
