The government through the Chief Economics Minister has indicated plan to raise the price of natural gas for fertilizer industry as the price is no longer considered attractive for natural gas investors operating under production sharing contract (PSC). The government has not given figure for the increase in the price of natural gas for the industry. Previously the government already used a formula of incentive for fertilizer industry to set the price of that fuel for the industry. The incentive is given at the expense of the government share of gas from the production sharing contract.
