Philadelphia Teams Up with Pennsylvania Horticultural Society for Cleanup.

Sep. 23--For the sum of $4 million, some of the city's vacant properties are going to be a little cleaner and much greener, city officials said yesterday.

The Street administration, which has made removing blight from the city a centerpiece goal, has hired the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society to maintain, stabilize and beautify 1,000 parcels in targeted areas around the city. The contract is for one year.
