Imiquimod effective treatment for molluscum contagiosum, basal cell carcinoma, and more.(General Dermatology)

The use of topically applied immune response modifier imiquimod (Aldara[R]) goes beyond its FDA-approved application for treating genital and perianal warts. In an article in the April 2003 issue of Dermatology Times, Brian Berman, MD, PhD, reviewed cases and studies using imiquimod 5% cream for the treatment of warts, molluscum contagiosmn, keloids, hemangiomas, and basal cell carcinoma.
