Hitachi Medical Systems America Inc. in Twinsburg is entering the next phase of its evolution with an eye toward the future and a $3 million construction project on the front burner.

The company, which develops and markets medical imaging equipment, breaks ground this month on a 27,000-square-foot headquarters and training complex next door to its existing building at 1959 Summit Commerce Park in Twinsburg.

Hitachi Medical Systems' current 55,000-square-foot building will be used as a technical center for medical imaging technicians and a growing engineering staff that together help develop equipment and software produced in Tokyo, said ...
