Iosca is out as president of Britches of Georgetown. (Philip Iosca) (Brief Article)

WASHINGTON (FNS) -- In a management shakeup stemming from poor sales results, Britches of Georgetowne, which operates 79 units primarily in the Washington, D.C., area, has ousted its president Philip Iosca.

Iosca, 42, who was hired in July 1990 to expand the 25-year-old chain, owned by Acton, Mass.-based CML Group Inc., left the company June 1.

"CML and Iosca had basic differences on the rate of growth for the company," said David Pensky, its founder and ceo, who has emerged from semiretirment to oversee the day-to-day duties of the company until a permanent successor is found. He added that store officials expect to hire a president within four months.
