House panel briefed on T.F. Green air-quality study.

Feb. 16--WARWICK -- State Department of Environmental officials, appearing before a special legislative panel last night, outlined the air quality study around T.F. Green Airport that it will begin next month.

The House commission, which is studying the Rhode Island Airport Corporation's management of the airport system, last night focused on the environmental impact of T.F. Green on its neighbors.

The commission also heard testimony from the Department of Health on elevated lung cancer rates near the airport, and from a Boston University professor who studied asthma rates near Boston's Logan International Airport.
