SAME OLD NEW COACH FOR UNCG< AFTER A YEAR AWAY FROM COACHING, MIKE DEMENT RETURNS TO UNCG, WHERE HE WAS WELCOMED FRIDAY.(SPORTS)

GREENSBORO -- After a year away from coaching, Mike Dement can't wait to dive back in.

"I'm tired of myself," Dement said Friday at a news conference introducing him as the men's basketball coach at UNCG. "I've been with myself the past year and I'm anxious to get out there."

It's the second time around for Dement and the Spartans. He was hired 14 years ago as the school moved into its Division I era. UNCG improved each of Dement's four seasons, peaking with a 23-6 record before he left for SMU after the 1994-95 season.
