Large-part blow molding produces critical parts for the SmartGardener's Workshop, a greenhouse designed and marketed by Thinking Outside LLC of Detroit.
Western Industries Plastics Group of Winfield, Kan., is the main contract blow molder for the greenhouse, said Michael Greene, Thinking Outside chief executive officer and founder, in a telephone interview from his home in Reno, Nev.
Greenhouse parts weigh as much as 75 pounds. They are blow molded on Davis-Standard single-head, 75-pound and dual-head, 50-pound machines.
The greenhouse is complete with polycarbonate glazing and a range of storage features, and has 882 cubic feet of workspace. It is 101/2 feet ...
