What does a plastic surgeon with a thriving business do in his spare time? If he's Dr. Greg Brown, a Louisville, Ky.-based doctor, he creates a new skin care item.

This April, ReVive with Recombinage, an anti-aging moisturizer developed by Brown, was introduced in the 31-door Neiman Marcus chain.

The product grew out of research Brown did while in medical school and later in his private practice.

ReVive's main active ingredient is epidermal growth factor (EGF), which Brown, working with the San Francisco-based biotechnology company Chiron, found a way to clone.
