Increases in Hydrogen Peroxide Production

Since hydrogen peroxide is used as a bleaching agent by the paper and textile industries, the growth of these two industries have encouraged the growth of the hydrogen peroxide industry.

For the period of 1989-1993, domestic paper production grew at an average annual rate of 24%. In 1989, it reached only 931.4 thousand tons. In 1991, it rose to 1,749,000 tons. Meanwhile, domestic woven fabric and knitted fabric production also grew quite rapidly. Over the period of 1988-1992, it rose from 3,488 million meters to 6,710 million meters.
