Fertilizer Firm Seeks to Control Damage after Florida Plant Fire.

Sep. 1 -- When Harry Costello arrived Monday at the site of a fertilizer plant fire that had forced the evacuation of about 2,000 people, he saw a public-relations agent's nightmare:

Seven TV news trucks.

"I thought, "What the heck am I getting into?' " said Costello, who handles public relations for the plant owner, Lykes Agri Sales Inc., and its corporate parent, Lykes Bros. Inc. of Tampa.
